I Love You Just Because by Donna Keith is a sweet children’s story about 3 very different bears in the same family. They are all bears, but with different features and abilities. The siblings are Brown Bear, Polar Bear and Panda Bear. Brown Bear seems to miss a lot of fun given how much sleep his body wants to get. Panda Bear isn’t as into fishing as Polar and Brown Bear are, she’d rather have bamboo. Polar Bear feels different too when Panda and Brown Bear go tree climbing and he doesn’t know how to climb trees. Mama and Papa Bear are constant reminders that they are loved no matter what…just because.
Each page has a verse from a book in the bible that relates to the discussion. My son loved reading the book and as we came to a verse he had me read that to him. Such a great read at bedtime and for a discussion about love and acceptance.
